Who is DHI?

Digestive Health Institute, also known as Michigan Gastroenterology Institute and Capitol Colorectal Surgery was established in 1998 in central Michigan with the goal of providing exceptional care to patients with digestive health diseases. We strive to give the best comprehensive care to our community in a way that conveys compassion and understanding, and we’ll never compromise the quality of care our patients receive.

Our care providers are simultaneously involved in clinical research and medical education with our higher-education affiliate, Michigan State University. We’re also a proud partner of Pinnacle GI Partners, a unique family of practices focused on innovating gastrointestinal health care practices across the Midwest. Thanks to our partnership, we can give our patients the best providers possible for effective treatment and compassionate care.

Gastroenterologist Jannel Lee-Allen, M.D. previously enjoyed a seven-year career in community and housing development in Detroit until she decided to pursue her passion in medicine.

Grace Langholz, MSPAS, PA-C, Physician Assistant

Physician Assistant Grace Langholz, MSPAS, PA-C is a Lansing native. She is bilingual and holds certifications in advanced cardio life support and basic life support.
